JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Mineral sands miner MZI Resources has appointed Rod Baxter as chairperson to succeed long-serving director Mal Randall, who has been director since 2006 and chairperson for much of that period.
Randall has stepped down as chairperson as part of MZI’s board succession planning in preparation for the company’s next major stage of growth, following the construction and commissioning of the Keysbrook mineral sands project, in Western Australia.
The project started production and sales in late 2015.
Randall joined MZI as a nonexecutive director in April 2015 and took the role of chairperson on Monday.
