PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Construction of the Dalgaranga gold project, in Western Australia, is continuing apace, with first gold production still targeted for the second quarter of 2018, ASX-listed Gascoyne Resources reported on Monday.
Design and engineering of the 2.5-million-tonne-a-year processing plant is some 60% completed, and project house GR Engineering has mobilised to site to start construction.
The bulk earthworks required for the site are also well advanced, and scheduled for completion in late August, allowing GR Engineering access to the site for plant construction.
The Dalgaranga openpit operation is expected to deliver 623 000 oz of gold over the six-year mine life, with the project expected to require a capital spend of A$86-million.
