Afrox will be featuring a fresh and revamped stand at NAMPO this year to encourage customers to view and experience welding machines and equipment in a dynamic and informative environment. Hinging on the theme of ‘Preferred Supplier of Choice’, Afrox will be pulling out all the stops to interactively demonstrate to the agricultural community the wide range of welding machines, consumables, gases and support services on offer from Afrox.
The new-look Afrox stand will feature all the familiar and popular elements such as live demonstrations, daily specials, welding workshop bays and product displays as well as the popular Handigas mascot who made his debut appearance at NAMPO last year. A highlight on the Afrox stand this year is the product launch of new Afrox industrial welding machines, including two new MMA models, three new MIG models with multi-process capabilities as standard, and two new TIG models. Certain to be a highlight of the show, an incredible competition will see a lucky customer winning one of the newly launched Afrox industrial MMA 221S welding machines on a daily basis together with an Afrox Transarc® OHE 410 auto-darkening helmet and a 5 kg pack of Vitemax 3.15 mm. The value of this daily prize package is approximately R20 000.
“The new Afrox Industrial MMA 221S is a robust machine that features a digital display with arc force and hot start capabilities and will be on special throughout the duration of NAMPO 2017,” says Dewald Bodenstein, Afrox Product Manager, Arc Equipment. All the other newly launched models will also be on display and available for purchase at competitive launch prices.
A further value-add offer at the Afrox stand this year is the ‘pay and collect’ service. Bodenstein explains that with the pay and collect option Afrox customers can take advantage of the discounted prices on welding machines and other equipment on promotion and then collect it from their nearest Afrox branch at their convenience.
“Afrox is dedicated to providing farmers with complete agricultural welding and cutting solutions, so along with offering them products they can trust, we also aim to support all their agricultural needs,” says Bodenstein. To this end the Afrox stand will include a large welding workshop where welding processes through interactive projects will be showcased. In addition there will be two live demonstration bays, one dedicated to plasma and gas equipment and the other to MMA, TIG and MIG welding. Here welding experts will showcase how to put processes such as hardfacing for farming applications into action and customers will have the opportunity for hands-on interaction with the welding machines and equipment.
Afrox, sub-Saharan Africa’s leading supplier of gas, welding consumables and equipment, will be running numerous promotions on a large range of products commonly used in the farming environment in celebration of 90 years of business.
This will include Vitemax, Afrox’s leading premium electrode for mild steel applications; a range of LPG products that can be used in the agricultural sector including the Handipack, a compact gas cylinder and cooker combo as well as the two plate stove; and the ARCmate range, a suite of lightweight and portable products aimed at the DIY sector.
The light and robust PortaPak® welding and cutting set will also be on display. The PortaPak® allows work to be performed at remote locations, and in elevated areas. Also on display will be the Agrigas and Porta range of gas cylinders, an exclusive offer from Afrox. Agrigas provides farmers with the flexibility of keeping gas cylinders without having to pay a separate monthly rental fee for cylinders. The rental fee is incorporated in the gas price and is only charged when a cylinder is refilled. A non-refundable maintenance fee is charged for any additional cylinder requirements.
The Porta range of gas cylinders offers farmers the option of acquiring a cylinder without paying any rental fees. This range consists of the PortaPak® oxygen and acetylene cylinders as well as the Portashield® (shielding gas suitable for MIG welding) and PortaTIG® (shielding gas suitable for TIG welding) cylinders.
NAMPO Harvest Day runs from 16 - 19 May 2017 at NAMPO Park in Bothaville, Free State and Afrox can be found at stand 42. The exhibition is one of the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, bringing together famers, suppliers and all other role players in the agricultural sector to experience first-hand new developments, technologies, machinery and equipment.
The Afrox range of gases, welding and cutting equipment, together with associated consumables, is available through the Afrox on-line shop (www.afroxshop.co.za), co-ops, certain local distributors and Afrox retail outlets in the region. Agrigas is exclusively available via approved co-ops.
