Schneider Electric has launched its next generation BlokSeT low voltage (LV) switchboard, with enhanced safety features that include a real-time thermal monitoring solution.
The switchboard’s intelligent Power and Motor Control Centre (iPMCC) is said to be an advanced smart solution for fault prevention, protection, and automatic restart. The iPMCC’s new temperature and humidity monitoring thermal sensors are designed to significantly improved safety and reliability. The permanent thermal monitoring system utilises small plastic non-contact and non-powered infrared sensors designed to extend the maintenance lifecycle and mitigate safety risks such as electrical fires.
The LV switchboard’s updated design gives it an ergonomic finish, aimed at making it easier and safer to operate and maintain. The Internet of Things-enabled wireless connectivity allows for switchboard data to be collected and analysed in real-time enabling predictive, rather than preventive, maintenance analysis.
