JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Tyranna Resources on Tuesday declared a Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant maiden resource of 219 000 oz at its Jumbuck gold project, in South Australia.
This forms part of ongoing resource drilling and project development at the project, which has an exploration target of 500 000 oz.
Resources have now been estimated for the Golf Bore, Golf Bore North, Greenewood, Mainwood and Campfire Bore deposits, all located within trucking distance of the Challenger gold mine operated by Tyranna’s joint venture (JV) partner WPG Resources.
“The Western Gawler Craton JV is very pleased to deliver on the first part of our strategy to define and progress Jumbuck toward our exploration target. The drill programme to date has not only delivered the maiden resource, but it has more importantly provided the geological and structural data to the JV that gives us confidence that Jumbuck can develop into a significant gold project with excellent exploration upside to come,” Tyranna Resources MD Bruno Seneque commented.
Tyranna commissioned MPR Geological Consultants to review the reliability of drilling information, with the Monsoon and Typhoon having insufficient sampling for estimation of a mineral resources. These deposits, therefore, are not included in the current resource estimates.
