JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – West Africa-focused Stellar Diamonds will hold the next auction of 3 295 ct of diamonds recovered during trial mining at its Baoulé kimberlite project, in Guinea, in March.
The auction would close on March 8.
This diamond sale formed part of Stellar’s trial mining evaluation process of the 5 ha Baoulé kimberlite, where some 100 000 t was being mined and processed to determine the grade and diamond value of the pipe.
Over 9 000 ct had been yielded to date and some 5 173 ct had been sold in 2015, realising over $700 000 in revenue.
