Specialist in the digital transformation of energy management and automation Schneider Electric has announced a service plan for variable speed drives (VSDs), aimed at future-proofing customers’ businesses and delivering safety, resilience and sustainability.
Already available for electrical asset management (including low and medium voltage equipment such as transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers), power management systems and three-phase Uninterrupted Power Systems 10 kVA to 40 kVA customers can now also access a combined field and digital services plan for maintenance of VSDs.
The EcoStruxure Service Plan for VSDs includes the following benefits and features:
- Preventive condition-based maintenance: provides dynamic scheduling for the maintenance of VSDs, combined with a preventive visit. Monitoring connected VSDs allows for the detection of possible issues and the reduction of unscheduled and unnecessary downtime, optimising site operations, and improving safety.
- 24/7 expert remote monitoring: Schneider Electric’s Connected Services Hub experts remotely monitor the health of connected VSDs and provide recommendations on how to optimise performance with customised quarterly reports and annual consultation. The services expert identifies potential problems and proposes corrective actions that can be implemented on-line or on-site by the company’s Field Service technicians.
The company notes that its Service Plan aims to help prevent downtime, maximize operational efficiency and contribute to sustainability goals, driving substantial improvements in customers’ asset safety, resilience, operational efficiency and sustainability.
