Ryan Hammond has been appointed CEO of Cookhouse Windfarm, Umoya Energy Windfarm and REISA Solar PV, a renewable-energy portfolio totaling 287 MW.
He takes on the responsibility of managing the facilities’ operations, finance and community operations, with effect from February 1.
Hammond is the cofounder and a board member of the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association and is recognised as a stalwart of the country’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPP).
He brings 20 years of experience in the industry, both locally and internationally, to his new role as head of these three companies that form part of the African Infrastructure Investment Managers portfolio of assets.
