Control instrumentation distributor and manufacturer Instrotech has on offer international instrumentation engineering enterprise Kobold’s TNK resistance thermometers, which have applications in a number of industries, including steel.
The TNK resistance thermometers, owing to their extreme insensitivity to vibration, impact and shock load, are particularly suitable for monitoring the temperature of diesel engines.
The extremely robust measuring devices are best suited for use in shipbuilding and mechanical engineering and meet all the technical requirements set by leading shipbuilders such as Germaninsche Lloyd and railway company Deutsche Bahn. Available solutions for the process connection include threaded nipples or screw connections.
Different sensor types, such as Pt 100, Pt 1000 or Ni 100, classes A and B, and also different sensor lengths and materials make it possible to design the measuring device to best suit the application in question. The measuring resistances can be replaced without having to remove the fitting. These superior instruments, available as 2, 3 or 4 lead versions, cover measuring ranges from –80 ºC to 150 ºC. The maximum pressure is 16 bar or 50 bar, depending on the type of the chosen connection.
The saltwater-resistant, protection type IP 65 aluminium connection casing provides secure protection. Besides the standard industry solutions for engines, cable connections can be chosen that conform to DIN 89280 or VG 88812 for use in ships or for military purposes. Materials used are brass, saltwater-resistant bronze or stainless steel.
TNK resistance thermometers find application in shipbuilding, diesel engines, engine building, mechanical engineering, and power unit construction.
