Uranium company Peninsula Energy has appointed Frederic Guerin as COO and senior VP of geology.
Guerin will start his new role on November 25 at an important time for Peninsula, as the company prepares for the restart of uranium production at its flagship, 100%-owned Lance project, in the US.
Based in Wyoming, Guerin will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and control of all mining and processing operations for the company. Guerin will also be responsible for ensuring that the company’s operations deliver on-time performance, within budget, and to the highest safety and environmental standards.
Ralph Knode, CEO of Peninsula subsidiary Strata Energy, will continue in his role while Guerin familiarises himself with the company’s operations. In future, Knode is expected to transition into a senior role which reports to Peninsula’s MD and focuses on maintaining the company’s good relations with the local and national communities in which it operates.
