SKF supplied an IMX online conditioning monitoring system to support a long-standing OEM customer who received a request from the end-user for assistance with vibration analysis and readings on crushing and pulverising machinery.
SKF Key Accounts Manager, Anneritha Maritz, explains that the customer is familiar with the quality and reliability of SKF’s condition monitoring products. “In addition to SKF bearings and units, the customer, who is a leading OEM supplier to the mining and construction industries, also uses a number of our online condition monitoring systems.”
So upon receiving the request from the end-user for the supply of a condition monitoring system, the customer immediately turned to SKF for a solution.
SKF submitted a proposal which recommended the IMX online condition monitoring system. “This is a proven solution within the mining industry,” notes Maritz. “Alongside early fault detection and diagnosis, the SKF IMX can also provide a complete system for initiation of machinery shutdown.”
SKF’s Business Development Manager, John Storm spent some time with both the OEM and the end-user to demonstrate the system’s full capabilities.
The IMX online condition monitoring system places SKF’s expertise at the customer and end-user’s fingertips. “They can contact our Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring Departments at any time for assistance,” concludes Maritz.
In addition to gaining a new customer in the Project House arena, the supply of the IMX system has also generated more business for SKF with several orders for Bearings and units in the pipeline.
