Industrial and manufacturing product supplier BMG has increased its product inventory portfolio, having added two lubrication products to its Boerslim/Smartfarming portfolio a year ago, which has been well-received by farmers in South Africa and works well with equipment used in the larger food processing industry.
“Liqui Moly Flow Grease, which was introduced to our customers at Nampo last year, is proving successful in agricultural transmissions, even those subjected to high surface pressure,” explains BMG agricultural division business development manager Carlo Beukes.
He adds that this new transmission flow grease – known as the lithium soap-based LP00 – is specifically manufactured for, but not limited to, the lubrication of normally- operated pivot gearboxes operating at low to normal rotational speeds, under dusty and damp conditions.
Additionally, the LP00 flow grease is capable of withstanding operating temperatures between –30 °C and 120 °C.
Further, the Habot Corn-head grease is another product that has been developed to exceed original-equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards and performance in agricultural lubrication. It is designed to maintain corn-head drive units on harvesters manufactured by OEM John Deere. This product can enhance the efficiency and service life of equipment that is vital to modern farming operations.
Specialists at BMG consider lubrication to be one of the most important aspects of efficient agricultural equipment performance and for machinery maintenance programmes. Not only do lubricants, oils and greases extend the service life of machinery and equipment, but they also play an important role in enhancing performance of components, such as bearings and industrial gearboxes.
BMG’s range of BTC bearings and components – manufactured exclusively for BMG to stringent quality and safety specifications – were originally developed for light to medium rotating equipment applications, including packhouses and small conveyors in the agricultural sector and for general industry.
However, with the company’s recent important upgrades, robust BTC bearings and components are now “perfectly suited” for dependable use in heavy-duty applications, notes Beukes.
According to BMG experts, these design improvements and quality enhancements require selection of the correct lubrication solutions to ensure optimum efficiency and extended service life of the system. A “top-quality” lubricant will ensure that the equipment is able to reach its L-10 design life.
Liqui Moly, Habot and CRC, as well the company’s house-brand, are all part of the range of industrial-quality lubricants on offer from BMG, which have been specifically formulated for the agricultural sector and general applications.
