Global project management and manufacturing solutions company Trelleborg’s applied technologies operation launched the Scandura aperture size selector application (Scandura app).
The app, first introduced in May and which has received a good reception, particularly from the UK, is designed to support Scandura screening systems, which are used to classify and screen materials across the aggregate, mineral, recycling and other associated industries.
“We are delighted to launch the Scandura app to the global marketplace . . . “Our distributors and end-users struggle to work out the correct aperture size for their screening application. Our new user-friendly app will easily calculate this information for them,” says Scandura sales manager Bill Ram.
He explains that the Scandura app calculates the aperture size required for screening applications, taking into account the media type, inclination of the mat and the required media particle size.
The app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
Scandura Offerings
Ram adds that clients can use the app to view the complete Scandura product range, as well the latest news and events at Trelleborg.
The Scandura range consists of aggregate screening systems, including screen modules, flip-flop mats and traditional tensioned mats.
“Scandura screen mats are a light and flexible alternative to conventional steel wire mats. We offer a range of mat and aperture sizes to match your machine and grading requirements, including flip flow screens and tensioned screen mats.”
He explains that the company’s polyurethane and rubber-tensioned screen mats provide a high wear and corrosive-resistant screen media for all applications, from scalping to dewatering.
“Our tensioned screen mats are available in a range of apertures and shore hardness to suit every application, while the flip flow screens are manufactured from resilient polyurethane and promote the flow of sticky materials while preventing screen blinding.
Trelleborg also offers a full range of polyurethane ancillaries, including skirting, pump impellers, cyclone linings, scraper blades and many other accessories for the quarrying and mining industries.
