A network camera designed to meet the demand for more heavy-duty pan–tilt–zoom (PTZ) cameras with built-in infrared (IR) illumination, has been launched in South Africa.
The model comes with a half-inch sensor and promises superior image quality with fast pan, tilt and zoom functionality.
In addition, the AXIS Q6215-LE PTZ network camera features long-range Optimised IR with IR-light-emitting diodes that adjust to the camera’s zoom and can deliver videos in low light or complete darkness, up to 400 m.

The camera is designed for use in open-area surveillance such as airports, harbours and highways. It can withstand harsh weather conditions including wind speeds up to 245 km/h.
The camera's flexible design allows it to be mounted facing up or down, directly to a surface or with a wall or pole mount. Additionally, it includes a wiper for removal of excess water, and is compliant with IP66, IP68, IK10 and NEMA 4X standards.
