On the back of a highly successful year that saw the return to in-person trade shows, Specialised Exhibitions – a division of the Montgomery Group – is gearing up for a busy year, with five popular exhibitions held within a seven-week period.
From June 6 to 8 this year, the company will host the colocated Securex; A-OSH EXPO; Facilities Management Expo and Firexpo shows at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Shortly thereafter, from July 18 to 20, the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) will be held at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
“There is no other place in Africa where exhibitors can leverage the benefits of four co-located and synergistic industrial expos. The long-established Securex exhibition and A-OSH EXPO were joined in 2019 by the inaugural Facilities Management expo, while 2022 marked not only a long-awaited return to business for trade shows, but the very welcome addition of Firexpo to the dynamic mix,” says Specialised Exhibitions portfolio director Mark Anderson.
Anderson adds that these four expos address a large and strong market segment looking to source and specify security technology and services, occupational health and safety products, facilities management solutions, and fire detection and suppression products.
“The Internet of Things and the ability of standalone products to integrate with other products is driving business decision-making. “The foundational elements of removing the silo mentality and incorporating previously disparate products together for increased functionality and a healthier bottom line are encapsulated in the vision of collaborative solutions created by Securex, A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management and Firexpo,” says Anderson.
For 40 years, KITE has been synonymous with helping suppliers of industrial technology products and services grow their customer footprint in their target markets.
“KITE 2022 was in fact the first trade show in South Africa to be held post- lockdown and was met with exuberant enthusiasm by exhibitors and visitors alike. The exhibition continues to grow in diversity of products and services presented and is a very welcome feature in the calendar of local KwaZulu-Natal organisations,” says Specialised Exhibitions portfolio director Charlene Hefer.
