PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Doray Minerals has awarded project house MACA with a letter of intent to conduct openpit mining at the Deflector project, in Western Australia.
The Deflector mine was expected to deliver first gold by mid-2016 and the openpit operation was expected to produce 1 972 oz of gold, while the underground mine would deliver 348 592 oz of gold, over a mine life of about six years.
MACA said on Monday that the company would mobilise to the Deflector site early in the new year, with mining operations set to start in February.
The contract would run for 11 months and would generate some A$14-million in revenue.
