PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The Lulo diamond mine, in Angola, has delivered another exceptional stone for owner Lucapa Diamond Company.
Lucapa on Wednesday reported that a 104 ct diamond had been recovered from the alluvial mining operation.
In February this year, a 404 ct diamond was recovered at the Lulo project, the largest recorded diamond ever found in Angola. Lucapa has also recovered a number of special and fancy-coloured diamonds including a 59 ct Type I diamond and a 33 ct Type IIa D-colour gem.
