New CMO Justin Helmig brings 19 years of marketing, technology and leadership experience within the software industry
Interactive Intelligence a global leader of cloud services for customer engagement, communications and collaboration, has hired Justin Helmig as its chief marketing officer.
Helmig brings 19 years of marketing, technology and leadership experience within the software industry.
“Justin’s deep technical background, combined with his business and marketing leadership experience make him an ideal candidate to help us continue on our path toward becoming the leading vendor of customer engagement solutions,” said Dr. Donald Brown, Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO.

As Interactive Intelligence CMO, Helmig will lead field and partner marketing, market communications, technical sales enablement, demand generation, branding, analytics and marketing operations.
Prior to joining Interactive Intelligence, Helmig served as managing director of Three Ships, a digital marketing agency. There he led the spinoff of Demand Signals, a Software as a Service (SaaS) marketing technology platform and services firm where he served as CEO.
Prior to that he served in senior marketing, technology and management roles at StrikeIron, a SaaS company, which was acquired by leading data integration and data management software firm Informatica during his tenure.
Helmig has also served in product management, sales engineering, strategy and corporate development, and software engineering roles at companies such as General Instrument Corp., Qualcomm and Texas Instruments.
Helmig holds a computer engineering degree from Clemson University and an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina.
