JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Gold mining major Gold Fields has extended ASX-listed Macmahon Holdings’ contract to supply a fleet of opencut mining equipment and associated services to the St Ives gold mine, in Western Australia.
Macmahon initially had a six month contract, which Gold Fields had now extended by 24 months.
The contracting company reported on Wednesday that it expected a revenue boost of $2.5-million a month from the extension.
