Ensuring the accurate detection and documentation of high-pressure cleaning processes requires a sensor with a high response time. The mechatronic measuring principle used in ifm’s flow meter is characterised by an extremely fast response time allowing for even short spray bursts during the high-pressure cleaning process to be precisely recorded in terms of quantity.
ifm’s flow meter offers several features, including:
- robust housing for high-pressure applications up to 200 bar
- stainless steel components ensure resistance to cleaning agents
- flexible: IO-Link, analog, switching and frequency output
- integrated temperature sensor saves hardware costs
- IO-Link enables documentation of cleaning processes
All measured values can be transmitted to the controller in digital form, without any conversion losses, by means of IO-Link. Flow and temperature values can thus be easily documented for each cleaning process.
Turbulence and air bubbles do not influence the measurement, allowing the sensor to be installed anywhere in the piping system.
The ifm flow meter can be used in various applications, such as modern slaughterhouses and supermarkets. The IO-Link allows monitoring of a high-pressure cleaning system, including documentation of the cleaning processes, to be implemented easily and quickly with reduced hardware costs. ifm offers all the required hardware and software components, providing users with transparency and consistency.
