Leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, Schneider Electric, launched its energy efficient EcoStruxure Automation Expert, its software-centric universal automation system, at the Hannover Messe 2021, which was held online last month.
“EcoStruxure is at the heart of Schneider’s commitment to provide open, simple-to- deploy digital solutions to drive sustainability and efficiency, enabling industrywide collaboration and partnerships in the new electric world,” said Schneider Electric executive VP energy management Phillippe Delorme during the launch.
The EcoStruxure Automation Expert is a comprehensive, open and Internet of Things-enabled architecture and platform comprising connected products, including edge control solutions, plus applications, analytics software and services.
“It is the engine that drives the digital transformation of energy management and automation, and enables the all-digital, all-electric world powered by sustainable, clean and plentiful electricity,” Delorme explained.
He added that digital energy management and automation, enabled by solutions, such as EcoStruxure, afforded unprecedented monitoring and management capabilities, while enabling businesses to finally move towards closing the resources loop to eliminate waste.
The EcoStruxure Automation Expert empowers industries to maximise their energy efficiency and sustainability using smarter systems and real-time data by creating market end-solutions for buildings, industries, data centres and electricity grids. An example of how it ensures energy efficiency is through the EcoStruxure system of monitoring energy distribution and a visual depiction of how one uses their energy.
Through this, EcoStruxure provides visibility and control across the enterprise through real-time monitoring, mobile insights, digital twin capabilities and proactive risk mitigation.
With Covid-19 and rapid climate change, there is a new need for sustainability, agility and resilience, which could be established by ensuring a new digital way of thinking. To ensure these advancements, inter-operability is essential, and this could be achieved through EcoStruxure Automation Expert, said Schneider Electric executive VP industry business Peter Herweck during the launch.
