Hose product and service provider Pirtek introduced an online key performance indicator (KPI) customer portal in late 2023, early 2024, as a complementary service for its broad client base in Africa and South Africa, to assist with optimising business processes, including hydraulic hose product replacement and maintenance.
Pirtek clients – especially those who operate a fleet of mobile equipment and machinery – can use the online KPI customer portal to access extensive information on how to manage hydraulic hose costs.
“We have developed this complementary platform, together with our customers, to suit their requirements,” says Pirtek MD Kieron Goss, who adds that the portal enables them to have a consolidated view of their expenses and use, with real-time and interactive reporting.
Benefits
The responsive homepage of the KPI customer portal offers not only clear graphs and reports, which can be used for end-to-end cost management and tracking, but also easy access and navigation using a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
All the graphical information presented can be drilled down to allow for the analysing of the supporting data, including clients focusing on repetitive issues, tendencies or failures that result in costly expenses.
The online portal can also track several channels of information to enhance clients’ knowledge about equipment or machinery.
Goss highlights that clients will be able to, for example, track information such as breakdowns or planned maintenance costs, cost per machine number and type, cost per product type and cost per location – regional or national, as well as fault description and fault location.
Consequently, clients can efficiently address problems that may arise with their respective machine types and components.
Goss highlights that there is increased uptake by clients of the KPI customer portal, which is an indication of the platform’s efficiency in enhancing the process of equipment care and maintenance for an array of businesses and industries.
“Pirtek Africa has already implemented this system for a number of its customers, including several large mining companies. Pirtek operates a national network of over 20 branches within South Africa, including over 65 service vehicles available 24/7 to service customer needs,” he enthuses.
