Plant hire firm JoinPoint on September 12 announced its purchase of 18 new Bell Equipment B30Es, owing to customer demand for new and reliable earthmoving equipment that is capable of delivering both performance and fuel efficiency.
“Our customers are often involved in many of the country’s major infrastructure projects. Their expectations have to be met by a modern machine taskforce of new, highly capable vehicles, with the ability to deliver results, against impressive fuel consumption levels. “That’s the main reason we constantly keep our sizeable fleet stocked with recently manufactured, top-end machines,” says JoinPoint MD David Brown.
He says JoinPoint’s fleet is regularly hired by project managers involved in the UK’s more extensive construction projects and established a reputation within the industry for supplying clients with up-to-date models of equipment.
According to Brown, the company’s relationship with Bell Equipment began a decade ago.
“At first, we purchased B30Ds, which served JoinPoint and its customer base extremely well. As our relationship with Bell evolved, so did the manufacturer’s vehicle development, which led us to switch from the unswervingly reliable B30D to the new and highly rated B30E,” Brown notes.
JoinPoint made the transition from B30D to B30E two years ago and has since bought several machines. The resale value of the D and E series trucks has also enabled JoinPoint to keep its fleet up-to-date with the latest technology, according to Brown.
He says the order of 18 machines along with the subsequent replacement of the B30D to B30E, makes this purchase the company’s largest one to date.
Brown is confident that the new equipment will serve clients’ needs. “The B30E ADT is one of Bell Equipment’s high-performance models and offers the lowest operating cost in its class, while still maintaining high productivity.”
Apart from a powerful diesel engine, Brown highlights that the B30E features a desktop management system that provides site managers with real-time operational data to improve vehicle and fuel efficiency.
“These machines are driver friendly with an outstanding level of comfort, which adds to their operative popularity,” he concludes.
