JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – An arbitration claim by Seychelles-based International Construction & Engineering (ICE) against West African gold producer Avesoro Resources, formerly Aureus Mining, over the termination of a civil works contract in 2014, has been dismissed.
Avesoro in December said ICE had been contracted to carry out civil and earthworks at the New Liberty gold mine, in Liberia, but that the contract had ended with only 60% to 70% of the work completed.
Avesoro said its own construction manager had completed the work.
