Company core competency is well demonstrated by a long established compressed air treatment specialist. Air treatment supplier Artic Driers International now offers a rebuild program for many of the older air dryers originally sold by industrial equipment manufacturer Ingersoll Rand, compressed air solutions provider Compair SA, refrigeration dryers manufacturer Hiross and the multinational motion and control technologies provider Parker.
A large number of these dryers originated from Hiross Italy and were sold under these different brand names. All have the same internal construction and multiple heat exchangers on a common inlet and outlet manifold, explains Artic Driers CEO Allen Cockfield.
Artic Driers International provides a rebuild program that replaces all the mechanical moving components, as well as all of the heat exchangers. Dryers are stripped down to the base plates, powder blasted, resprayed and reassembled with new components.
The result is essentially a dryer with all new components but using all the original panels. If any panels are missing or damaged beyond repair, new panels can be fabricated and fitted. The paint finish can either be wet sprayed or powder coated depending on the clients preferences. He adds that the end result is basically a new dryer for half the price of a brand new unit.
This level of service is not provided by any other compressed air treatment supplier, if the client requires a replacement unit during this process, Artic Driers can assist, states Cockfield.
“Obviously we also provide brand new refrigeration and adsorption compressed air dryers from the Risheng Decontamination Co Hangzhou. The R Class series of dryers provides reliability at a great price point.”
He adds that a dryer rebuild program is also available for any heatless chemical adsorption air dryer. The same core competency is again demonstrated - new control panels are fitted, vessels are shot blasted, pressure is tested and it is resprayed. New control valves, chemical media and silencers are provided. Again this returns the dryer to virtually new condition at half the market price of a new one.
“In this day and age, many can sell a dryer, fewer companies can offer a comprehensive repair and service facility, and almost no one can provide a total rebuild program, Artic Driers is virtually unique in the air treatment industry,” concludes Cockfield.
