A new series of adjustable elbow fittings have been introduced to the market, aimed at mobile original-equipment manufacturers seeking an end-to-end tube-fitting solution.
Power management company Eaton has added the new products to its Walterscheid hydraulic tube fittings and connectors series.
The precision engineered Walterscheid Einstellbarer WinkelEinschraubStutzen mit Kontermutter (EWESK) series of adjustable elbow fittings offers robust, simple, safe, repeatable assembly and is designed to be high in quality and easy to assemble. Typical applications include vehicles used in the agriculture, construction, mining and quarrying sectors, as well as on-road commercial vehicles.
Walterscheid states that its EWESK elbow fittings for 90° connections between a port and metric tube can be easily adjusted in rotational angle. After threading the fitting into the port and rotating it to the desired angle, the position can be fixed by tightening the locknut.
The fittings meet the requirements of ISO8434-1, ensuring high performance and durability. The low-torque attributes of the adjustable elbow facilitate safe connectivity and easy assembly, and a special plated finish helps reduce torque variance.
Rated at a minimum of 720 hours of red rust corrosion resistance, the elbow fittings are particularly suited for outdoor applications such as harvesters and balers, excavators, loaders and concrete pumping vehicles.
The company asserts that EWESK elbows and other Walterscheid tube-fitting products have been designed and engineered to add value to a wide range of heavy-duty and commercial vehicles, with high corrosion resistance and assembly strength, robust design characteristics and straightforward, safe connectivity seen as key benefits.
