Bearings supplier Bearings International (BI) will be unveiling its new brand identity to the agricultural sector at this year’s NAMPO (National Maize Producers’ Organisation) Harvest Day expo organised by Grain SA.
With a record of 70 000 attendees at the 2015 event, Nampo Harvest Day is an important platform for BI to showcase its comprehensive range of bearings and power transmission products, which are essential components for the efficiency and productivity of farming equipment.
Nampo Harvest Day is one of the largest privately organised and owned exhibitions in the world, as well as the biggest showcase of agricultural machinery and livestock in the southern hemisphere. It takes place yearly on the outskirts of Bothaville, in the Free State.
Nampo Harvest Day provides a unique opportunity for all manufacturers and distributors of agricultural machinery, products and ancillary services to exhibit, as well as to demonstrate their wares to the South African farming community.
BI CEO Burtie Roberts states that the 2016 event will be an ideal platform to unveil the company’s new brand identity, which includes a streamlined logo and corporate livery, in conjunction with improved customer service and focus, to the agricultural community.
“Our aim is to provide a cost- effective, quality service to internal and external customers. Our segmented, targeted product offering allows us to compete more effectively, without focusing on price,” Roberts comments.
With the event increasingly seen as a showcase for the introduction of the newest technology and pro- ducts for the agriculture sector, BI’s long-standing presence at the event is an important endorsement of the latest developments.
BI’s diverse product line-up meets a broad spectrum of needs in the South African agriculture sector. This extends from supplying bearings and chain to couplings and transmission products for arduous farming applications such as ploughing, planting, harvesting and baling.
BI is also able to provide expert advice on keeping farming equipment operating at optimum efficiency, in addition to outlining the most optimal maintenance procedures. It carries a comprehensive stockholding of spares, in addition to chain and V-belt drives.
“We work together with our customers, with the understanding that the current economic environment places more pressure on them to do more with less; together we ensure they grow, while we grow,” says BI marketing manager Gugulethu Nkutha,
A highlight of BI’s participation at this year’s event will be the presence of a dedicated sales team and product managers to answer all customer queries and to provide comprehensive information on the brands represented. The main brands will be on display at BI Stand 49-50. These include KML Bearings, Loctite adhesives, FAG components, Citronol hand cleaners, Makita power tools, Rocol lubricants and Dodge bearings.
