SKF boosts its condition monitoring portfolio with the latest and most powerful diagnostic tool - SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX

SKF has extended its Microlog Analyzer family of data collection devices with the recent introduction of the new SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX.

This powerful tool offers faster measurement collection and greater diagnostic power and can be applied in any type of industries including pulp & paper, food & beverage, renewable energy, mining, off-highway, metals, automation and marine.

The new SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX, which is part of SKF’s broad portfolio of condition monitoring solutions, is built on state-of-the-art technologies and decades of experience in supporting customers with optimising their maintenance activities through condition monitoring.

“Coupled with SKF’s analytic software, this unique portable solution will assist customers and end-users to significantly improve the way in which they schedule the maintenance of their rotating machines,” states SKF Product Manager: Condition Monitoring, Kutsi Jaka. “By establishing the right and fast diagnostic, thanks to the unit’s embedded features, the SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX provides best-in-class information and insights of the health of customers’ rotating assets.”

When used as part of a condition monitoring solution, the SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX can detect issues with rotating machinery quickly and accurately. Jaka explains that the new diagnostic tool takes measurement with SKF’s MPA-in-a-flash method, which makes the device extremely powerful. “Typically three times faster than the previous Microlog series, Multi-Point Acquisition (MPA) is our fastest vibration analysis method, saving time when taking measurements and helping to collect data more efficiently.”

The device allows the user to carry out a range of tasks including impact tests, digital recording, modal analysis, multi-plane balancing and cross channel phase. In addition to being used for standalone troubleshooting, this unique portable tool can also be part of a comprehensive predictive maintenance program.

The SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX is backwards compatible with SKF’s proven existing Microlog CMXA Series and adds new technology including an embedded camera and a high-resolution, 10.1- inch screen that can simultaneously display up to six measurement windows. The tool features a hybrid touch and keypad control as well as simplified navigation for comfortable and easy use.
