JSE-listed Murray & Roberts (M&R) says chairperson Suresh Kana and director Jesmane Boggenpoel have resigned from the board with effect from November 30 and November 15, respectively.
Clifford Raphiri has been appointed interim chairperson, with effect from December 1 and until a permanent appointment is made.
M&R last week announced that its M&R Limited division and the division’s subsidiary OptiPower had been placed in business rescue amid liquidity constraints.
M&R, as well as its indirect subsidiaries Murray & Roberts Cementation, Murray & Roberts UK, Cementation APAC, Cementation Canada and Terra Nova Technologies, continue as going concerns and will continue to deliver on their contractual obligations.
